We call it technical water services. We offer water transportation, river safety/ swift water rescue services, emergency spill response, rigging and recovery, film support, training, boat access construction solutions, and more. .

Who we are.
We are river people (we like lakes and oceans too) and we work and recreate in the waterways of the Pacific Northwest. Most of our team comes from a river guiding and construction and rescue background. This particular combination of work experience attributes to our teams exceptional river knowledge, safety, and critical thinking skills, as well as having a problem solving and production based mindset. Our team commonly thrives when faced with unique challenges presented by each client.

Where we came from.
In 1986, owner Darwin Baerg made a shift from an industrial career to follow his passion; running rivers. For over 30 years, as one of Canada’s early rafting pioneers, Darwin’s whitewater rafting companies guided thousands of satisfied adventure seekers down BC’s most mighty and challenging rivers.
While the name had yet to be affirmed, Rivertec’s inception began in the early years of Darwin’s river rafting career. Occasional requests from different industries became more and more frequent. A boat ride here, build a floating bridge there, you name it, the river rafters can do it! Since that time we have come a long way, and covered lots of miles (and dinged a few propellers).
Today, Rivertec provides the highest standard of technical water services in multiple industries. Over the years we’ve served environmental companies, fisheries clients and biologists, surveyors, seismic engineers, bridge construction crews, hazardous material response companies, railways, professional divers and more.
